But now that you all helpfully pointed it out on Twitter, we might finally be able to get people like Bill Gates to take action on this issue. Maybe he could even start a foundation, and give all his money to it! We can only hope. Just keep tweeting, folks!!!

Hunger is one of the worst thing that can happen to people. We forgot that, but this is a terrible mistake.

So you‘re saying billionaires are human and possess basic common sense? Preposterous! You can‘t talk like that on Twitter man.
-
I might also be saying that if you have a problem with billionaires, you address that in the future by modifying your economics systems, not by complaining about the fact that people who already went through that system are spending their money on new technology.

Bill Gates did a great job! However, these problems should not rely on „generous“ billionaires. Especially if these billionaires build their wealth by creating an environment in which employees feel the need to pee into bottles.

What irritates me most is that people criticize billionaires for being billionaires. If one thinks a single person should not be able to accumulate that much wealth, ok. But if you want to change that, I'd pressure politicians, not billionaires.

-
Also: solving world hunger would cost about 150-250bn$ per year. If we want that solved, how about shifting a third of the US annual military budget towards that? It's doable but isn't done. So the conclusion is that people don't actually want it solved.

Bill Gates is notably not one of the billionaires engaged in a new space race. So the point stands. They (the billionaires engaged in the space race) could solve world hunger instead. But the choose not to.

Google "Richard Branson charitable giving" or "Jeff Bezos charitable giving". I'll wait here.

oh no, you mentioned gates, now we'll have people saying that bill wants to control population levels... which non-ironically is how you solve world hunger problems.
