I was tagged on a reply there, so yes, and I asked about the throughput, but
@zachlloydtweets did not respond so I don't really have a comment. It's not a publicly available terminal so I can't conduct bandwidth testing myself (and I would need a modern Mac to do so anyway)1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
If someone who has the terminal wants to test the bandwidth of a few gigabyte text files via https://github.com/cmuratori/refterm/blob/main/splat.cpp … and let me know how it does, I would have a better idea of whether it is fast or not!

Right now, our throughput is ok (faster than iTerm, but not as fast as Alacritty). We haven’t prioritized it because we’re focusing on usability & stability. We are confident we can reach a throughput similar to Alacritty once we optimize this. Very impressed with termbench btw!

Great! I assumed that was the case. Hopefully termbench will help with the optimization. V3 will also have Unicode and RTL in it, so it can also help with that when you get to it.
