This seems like it would bring a lot of value to the end user, because now they have absolutely no idea what happened or where, and if they use a continuous integration server, they'll literally have no idea what happened because they won't be able to see the dialog.

I know JAI is new language and it's probably out of the scope of the project to have serious Enterprise-class features like this, but I just thought, you know, maybe it could be something to strive for down the road.

Lol. To drive the compiler of course. Imagine some compiler hardware... An external box connected to your PC with a cable, that does the compiling. Preferably mechanical, with gears that grind whenever it is "compiling"
