In that video it looks like refterm's descenders are getting clipped. Very noticeable with the letter "g".

The fact that you can rewrap text so smoothly blows my mind. I really thought it was a "hard" problem.

You might think I'm joking but I'm not. Because in my mind you have to wrap the entire text, before and after the current "screen", in order to get the correct behavior. That was probably the wrong assumption.

I've been anxiously awaiting this and it did not disappoint. Thank you for tackling this in earnest and providing valuable education to the community. I'm not knowledgeable enough to create refterm, but I am old and recognize keenly what was lost (since Amiga days, for example)

Why not build a way better terminal and just sell it?

Great Job Casey. I really hope someone takes up this code and runs with it to create a fully functional CMD replacement. Very good stuff.

Although you could probably run them through refterm easily, how would you interact? refterm is a renderer, not a terminal, so it doesn't have an input system and so on. Maybe that is easy to bolt on, but I haven't looked. But that'd be the main thing.
