Folks who have had bad experiences with monospaced Unicode in Windows Terminal (such as when trying to printf Arabic, etc.): if you don't mind pasting the Unicode string into replies to this tweet, I will add them to my refterm test suite for future replacement terminals.

Not really... I remember learning about UTF8 control characters many years ago and then deliberately trying to copy-paste stuff together until everything broke. I do remember there's some control chars in there that change direction mid-sentence, and some chars that overlap...

The difference is because of wrapping. Wrapping will cause the Unicode Bidirectional algorithm to behave differently. Bidi is involved here because the first line contains Hebrew characters and twitter made the entire post RTL using CSS (direction: rtl)
