[1/3] Regarding NFTs, it is disheartening to see Silicon Valley being proud of creating artificial scarcity. Physical scarcity is something humanity fought to overcome for almost our entire history. Creating scarcity is never something anyone should ever be proud of.

No artificial scarcity, I would say.

intellectual property is fine, but it was originally designed for the inventor, not for a company to keep alive forever (looking at you Disney and Big Pharma)

A bunch of smaller artists I have been following for years in some cases, are suddenly making real money for their art.. and are now part of a larger art community built around NFTs. Your thesis runs exactly opposite to what I have seen in the last 4 months.

Scarcity is the corner stone of Capitalism and artificial scarcity, is a tool used in it, many times, to keep prices high enough for example. So personally, I don't believe we will ever end scarcity, or really work towards that goal...

Someone selling a NFT is the same as selling a limited editions physical copy, except for the internet age. Scarcity only exists for the art as an asset (NFT) to control it's value not for the sensory perception of the artwork which anyone can have for free.
