haha. And now I remember how one man from one AAA company was wondering why I don't use STL, like, "If you don't use STL what you use then? o_O". And he was so amused when I said him I write my own implementations of whatever I need for particular problem.

I like how it's revolutionary that making an array on the stack doesn't allocate and doesn't call a constructor (At 10 minutes in the video). People overcomplicate things so much that they get really exited when their computer's basic capabilities are available to them for once.

Anything non trivial is a dumpster fire. Anything trivial is slow and is quick to implement locally. Everything, trivial or not, kills compile times. I used to have a collection of articles I would just copy and paste links to for newcomers to my teams when the question was asked
