they haven't added reflection to C++ yet because they fear the power I would be able to wield if they actually added it

its weird but I think that like the only thing needed to have a language take off in the mainstream these days would be to have a pip-like package manager. I don't get why its only janky ass languages that have good package management.

I mean I use python a lot and find it pretty nice to work in (for doing basic scripting/automation stuff), but like 95% of that is just how easy it is to deal with dependencies because of pip

I'm now obligated to ask (and sorry if you've already heard this far too many times) if you're in Jon Blow's beta and how much of a step in the right direction it is. (Number of steps is a signed int, on the off-chance you don't like it.)

I am not in the beta, I don't have a strong opinion about it, but it is obviously much better than Rust to say the least.
