(And once that one is taken - since I know there are a lot of grad students out there - a closely related open problem is allowing users to _paste_ into such input boxes. It is thought that there was once a solution to this, but it was lost to time like Fermat's Last Theorem.)

The only good handling of this I've seen is in an Apple-device-only app called Things 3. You can type "Jun 23," or "6/23," or "23/6", or "in 6 weeks", etc. I wish everything would adopt this.

Maybe someone could train a neural network to do this and make it scalable with container and stuff.

Preposterous! Do you have any idea how many frameworks and libraries you'd have to glue together to accomplish that?

Dude the fucking calendars that make you first click on a start date, then and end date, always seem to be not doing what I expect, and it takes like 5 tries.

Be my guest if you ever find a feed-forward control for date/time forms.

Well, it seems too far fetched to write code to dumb it down, but the input paste problem makes my head
. I've done this too, no judgement.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
