Graphics is definitely a fringe use case in modern computing. Almost nobody uses it in their daily work. I'm not sure why you would expect an operating system to have support for graphics out-of-the-box.

Hang on Casey, that's not very fair. With just a little extra setup and troubleshooting it's completely possible to get your networking working so that you can begin troubleshooting why your graphics and audio don't work.
