Yeah, that's a valid point. I just don't see the difference myself so I'm fine with that. The ease of use has such a high value for me that I'm fine risking some compression artefacts.

IMHO yt compression became noticeably better recently, rather gracefully handling even extreme codec poison scenarios (but maybe you just have higher standards :D). Irrecoverably missing portions of streams due to internet hiccups are more concerning. Seen too many of these

Maybe it also helps if you’re having higher bitrate as well. I usually run between 20 - 30Mbit/sec.
