Visual Studio 5 et al, like I showed on stream, _can also_ evaluate expression in the watch window. This is not a "new" feature to Visual Studio. It's been there forever. Maybe they "upgraded" the parser at some point and made it suck harder, I have no idea.

Seems inescapable that they did, given the updates to the standards. Did that version of VS's watch window support evaluating actual functions? I would have expected it to only support some really basic operations given that constexpr wasn't a thing yet.
