I feel like we should do a @handmade_hero stream where we try to get TensorFlow to build on Windows, just for maximum comedy value / depression.

Since your tweet, I looked through the TensorFlow source to see if I could be clever about hacking the compile and very quickly I realized the code is written by brilliant academics who made a code jungle so I gave up.

You probably didn't even get all the way down the rabbit hole. It's not even code that actually compiles in the language in which it is written, for example - the .cc files rely on

You're absolutely right. I did not get that far. Wow! Previously I half-jokingly considered splicing source files as a work-around for poorly considered inlining. But it's like, they realize this, but instead of fixing it, they do...this
