I blame Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation. No one suspects it, but it must be at the cause of all these problems!

Considering that random windows freezes can be solved by disabling windows hints, well... that's not far fetched.

Sadly, no. The Visual Studio installer is riddled with bugs, and they have been reported over and over again and are featured in articles all the time, in every version. (https://www.ryadel.com/en/visual-studio-2017-install-setup-update-stuck-blocked-win10sdk-fix/ …, https://stackoverflow.com/questions/28788574/visual-studio-2015-installer-hangs-during-install …, etc.)

I had a problem where the CPU usage would reach 60% when ever I'd type code. Which would make my fan freak out constantly. And around 20% when idle.

If you let VS installer run for 16 hours, you have deeper problems with the way you understand software and impose your own stubbornness onto your daily life.

Wdym, some software is SLOW, sometimes you just leave it running while you do anything else and come back to it later in the day
