I wonder how many people have switched from @Google to @DuckDuckGo et al as a result of the horrible Google Search update? I doubt I am the only one...

I've been trying to untangle my life from Google for the past few years. So far I've solved email (simple-nixos-mailserver) and search (
@DuckDuckGo). Next up: phone8 replies 0 retweets 17 likes -

I've been trying to do that too. How's your experience with spam outside of GMail? I've found that since I switched away I get a lot more spam. :/

I used to think that Google's spam filter was great and saving me time, and then I realized that tons of messages from real people were just getting marked as spam. So now, I really don't think GMail's spam filter is actually useful. I have to read through the whole folder :(

So basically that is "as bad as" any spam filter, because if I have to manually check each one, well, anything in the ballpark is pretty much equivalent.
