Those companies have no control over this. GMail has a monopoly on deciding what’s spam and the rules for new senders to avoid this are proprietary and complex (like search rankings). You need to warm start your campaigns for weeks or months until you gain sufficient reputation.

There are loads of things which _can_ cause this, dmarc, no dkim no or wrongly configured SPF. Also IP blacklisting or no unsubscribe link. It's all scored added up and enforced differently by each provider. That's what makes it grey rather than black and white

sadly this applies to some many 3rd party services (such as digital signature) including non-digital ones. I would love to be able to just buy a service that works so I can concentrate on doing more important things =/
