I'm worried that the baby thinks people can't change.

before you try and give me a real answer to this, I already know you can just transform the verts of the AABB and take the max/min of those, I was just checking to see if there was a faster version I didn't think of
yeah I'm mostly using this for broadphase & render culling so I don't actually care if it's the optimal AABB, was just curious if there was a faster way than transforming each vert of the original box & taking max/min, *feels* like I shouldn't need to transform all the aabb verts
Yeah that's what I was looking for, forgot I could consider it's center point
I realize neither of our answers is probably going to be very efficient compared to the hard-core stuff on Stack Overflow, but do you even need to do the 3-axes version? Isn't the answer just r_i' = |r_x*x_i| + |r_y*y_i| + |r_z*z_i] (where i is whichever axis you want?)
I pulled that out of my butt just now but it seems like it should be right, unless I forgot something.

Not entirely sure what r stands for there, but the actual solution has been posted a few times, it's performance equivalent to transforming one point instead of 4https://twitter.com/Herschel/status/1188613724665335808 …
Tyler Glaiel added,
Yup that is what I posted. Glad to hear it works :P
