I find it somewhat hard to understand why rich people are still on Twitter. If I ever had enough money to know I wouldn't have to work again, the _very first thing_ I would do is delete my internet presence completely and never use it again.

But then how would you _tell_ people that you’d deleted your twitter

But, but, the internet points and constant validation. As a side note, would you never work again if you had money greater than some threshold?

Well no, I would keep on making game technology, but since I would no longer have to sell it to eat, I could just do it for myself without having to actually be on-line.

They are in business of getting richer... :) Technically we here are richer than the most of world population, but yet we feel we have to work... Richer people than us probably feel the same.

Also those super wealthy need to protect wealth, so they have to appear as caring, philanthropic, etc. for public.

I would definitely work, I just wouldn't interact with the internet.

That is like saying you smoke 3 packs per day but can quit any time you want.

Not sure I get the analogy. Isn't it more like saying I am currently required to smoke 3 packs per day and envy people who don't have to?
