It's not clear to most people who ads on twitter are related to individual tweets (not saying they aren't, it's just not as obvious as youtube). Hence they don't make the connection to their content being leveraged for ads.

Possibly because of the impression that it takes less effort to produce content for Twitter than any othe platforms you mention, and not a lot of people produce *primarily* for Twitter.
