I wish there was an easier way to give money to companies adding Linux support without having to buy their products. I mean I have absolutely no need for an audio solution, but I want to encourage that sort of behaviour

Reaper is great, and works perfectly fine in Linux, however the vast majority of third party dsps do not.

There isn't even a remotely comparable open source alternative. Reaper is arguably one of the best applications I've ever seen in any domain.
