This is usually one of the things I think about in dismay when I am using some kind of "modern" piece of crap software that can't scroll at (at least!) 60fps.

No, it is because it is not plugged into an NTSC monitor. The Amiga used a regular television for output, so it was 60 _fields_ per second of display output, which means that if you try to pipe it to a modern (progressive) monitor, it becomes 30 frames per second blurred.

It is even more responsive if you have an old NTSC TV. I'm actually underselling it with this video.
