It is absurd that @Google requires you to _put your actual Google account credentials_ into your PS4 in order to access your YouTube Premium subscription. This is incredibly insecure, and so much more dangerous than the way literally everyone else does it.

Anyone who gave security a second of thought would know that the only safe way to link consumer devices to a high-value on-line account is to use a one-time code that gets authenticated via a login on the trusted side. Never, ever, EVER ask for credentials on a consumer device!

Not according to the "EULA" that comes up when you try to link your PS4, but it may be that they are overstating the requirements. The EULA says specifically that you _must_ bind your PSN and Google accounts, and a variety of other not-at-all-anonymous things.

(also, even with app passwords, you are at least putting in your account information - it's still not anonymous linkage from the PS4 side).
