I tried Affinity for a month or so a year or two ago and had major performance and stability issues when working with even moderately large files. Do you know if there has been an improvement in those areas? I'd love to jump off of the sinking Photoshop ship.

By 'moderately large' I mean maybe 20 megapixel raw files. I had even more problems trying to merge images to construct panoramas. If I remember correctly Affinity became so slow as to be unusable while Photoshop for all its bad-ness kept chugging along.

That's not the kind of thing I am generally doing so I couldn't say, but I regularly muck around with 8kx8k sRGB's with lots of layers and haven't had a problem. What happens with panoramas, I'm not sure...
