As of the most recent version (0.1.9.1), RemedyBG has crossed the threshold for me into "best everyday Windows debugger". If you're as desperate as I was to get off Visual Studio/WinDBG, it may be well worth your time (and $9.95) to check it out:https://remedybg.itch.io/remedybg

I’m curious to know what changes came in this version that moved it into best territory. Or has it just hit a culmination of features and usability that make pointing out specific things hard/impossible?

It was not any specific thing, it was that the n high-priority issues that prevented it from being usable on day one got resolved one by one, and now they're gone. So it was just a case of @x13pixels polishing everything to the point where now it "just works" for my workflow.
