As of the most recent version (0.1.9.1), RemedyBG has crossed the threshold for me into "best everyday Windows debugger". If you're as desperate as I was to get off Visual Studio/WinDBG, it may be well worth your time (and $9.95) to check it out:https://remedybg.itch.io/remedybg

As the 0.1.9.1 version suggests, it's still very early on, so it doesn't have too much in the way of fancy features yet. But neither does Visual Studio, and WinDBG's human factors are so bad it just never quite ends up saving me time, so RemedyBG is a very welcome change.

I can't wait for the day when I can stop opening Visual Studio every time I need to debug something and instead use something like RemedyBG. I will definitely give it a try.

That day is seeming tantalizing close, thanks to @x13pixels. He's been really putting in the effort getting RemedyBG usable. For the past few months,
@AllenWebster4th and Nick Slivca have also been working on a new debugger at@radgametools, too.2 replies 2 retweets 3 likes
So the tide may finally be turning. I for one will have a "Flush Visual Studio Down the Toilet" party when we can finally be rid of it - it's been the bane of my dev machines' existence for the past decade or two and I have a lot of pent up aggression :)
