Must have been a nightmare creating the island, just tweaking an area would no doubt break several puzzles/unlocks in the process.
Am assuming they had thousands of unit tests covering the main puzzles and areas.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I thought for the scenic puzzles it would be impossible, but likely for the panels/areas. Makes perfect sense, would have been a huge additional challenge to maintain them all.

There were no walk unit tests for shipping The Witness because by then we had viz tools that just showed the exact answer. Walk monster was only used early, before we had "The Good Stuff(TM)".
