As we slowly come around to the notion that most published research is incorrect (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1182327/ …), it's worth retraining yourself to remember that the phrase "studies have shown" means that the subsequent statement is more likely to be wrong than right.

It's important to understand referred studies. Simply looking at sample-size is a good start (which the link also says). For example social science as a whole has very high failure-rating when tested. Your link requires understanding and is not as simple as your conclusion.

Their six corollaries are good things to think about when reading a study. But it does raise the importance of reproducing results in the scientific fields.

And to make the matter worse, journalists always write an article from a single study, not understanding that science doesn't work like that and that lots of concordant studies are required before concluding. Thus all the "back to the board" and "revolutionary findings" press.
