Noticed today that @googledrive cannot upload large folders (ones containing lots of files). I wondered how long they've known about the bug and not fixed it, since with Google it's usually very long. Turns out it's at least 3 years: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/drive/IDqjYRSPbOQ …
It's really weird to me how they never seem to fix bugs, even serious ones. It's especially odd because this is a service we pay for, so we _are_ customers (unlike, say, search, where we are the product and the advertisers are the customers).

But it almost seems like there's only one thing that happens with their product development, which is wholesale replacement, and there isn't any sort of process for fixing longstanding bugs in existing deployments?

I'm sure I'm forgetting one or something, but at the moment, I can't think of a single bug in a Google product that I experienced that isn't still there, with the exception of products that no longer exist or were replaced with complete overhauls.

I feel they have redesigned youtube more often than they have fixed long-standing bugs or missing features. Actually it seems the hip trend is to remove features instead.
