@Jonathan_Blow any recommendations for a laptop for development and some gaming? I'm trying to avoid shelling out for a l33t g4mer laptop if I don't have to.

The state of laptops today is so depressing. It has been a constant downward spiral since ~2008. Worse keyboards, worse trackpads, worse screen glare, worse service, non-removable batteries... :(

I feel the opposite. That laptops have gotten better and better. What's your thoughts on the Lenovo p1?? https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/thinkpad/thinkpad-p/ThinkPad-P1/p/22WS2WPP101 …

It is a step in the right direction for Lenovo to be sure (and has physical buttons, thankfully) but if Jon's X1 is any indication, the quality needs a lot of work, and the old underpowered GPU is a bit of a dealbreaker for serious game development.
