It really sucks because density is crucial to everything, and nobody wants it. To be fair, maybe it's because our standards for architecture are crap. Maybe if we build skyscrapers that had all kinds of cool navigable features and inter-building stuff, people would like them?

They're also the same people who are like "traffic is so bad" but are also "why would I fund public transit". Public transit is CRUCIAL in higher density areas because where are you parking 50 stories worth of cars, or being able to drive those cars?

Yup there is a lot of virtue signalling... Met some people who love diversity, but send their kids to private school, or lives in gated community. :)
