Friendly reminder that the vast majority of people have preferred pronouns, regardless of their gender identity. Pronouns have always been important to people, and yet, it's only when trans and non-binary folks assert ourselves that pronouns become "trivial".

I want to be clear for those who need it spelled out: I'll gender your dog in the correct way; that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that I know there are folks who care more about the gender identity of their dogs than they care about respecting that of other human beings.
