The grain size records have high temporal resolution (~3yrs), and show the AMOC starting to weaken around 1830 (the start of the industrial era). Maybe this was a response to Arctic ice melting as we came out of the Little Ice Age? 3/n

The temperature fingerprint has a coarser time-resolution, but also shows the obvious downward AMOC trend over the 150 yrs. This reinforces the trend shown by Caesar,
