Who are these people refusing to work so they can bring home $2000 a month for 4 months? If there’s any data that suggests this is true what does he suggest? No funding for the millions unemployed?
-
it's the same old tired Conservative nonsense that people would rather not work and receive paltry benefits (which they think are extravagant apparently).

#CDNpoli So... people don't want jobs because they have 3 months of poverty-line level of assistance??? People won't return to work because of safety concerns -- that should be the focus. -
Plus the incentive to stay home. That’s the entire point. Stay home while it isn’t safe to go out.

@AndrewScheer assumes the worst of people & starts from a place of mistrust. He sees government as having to play an authoritative & intellectual superiority role amongst us unwashed masses. It's insulting & demeaning. -
Oh for heaven sake
@AndrewScheer .. benefits are time limited, delivered through the tax system so tracked and reconciled. An adequate short term measure; Who is giving up a good job for 8000.00? Nobody I know...Cdns have a strong work ethic!
