    Couldn’t agree more with this sentiment. If the readout of the Biden-Xi Summit proved anything, it was that Ambassadors on both sides are needed in situ to drive dialogue where possible & communicate differences clearly where necessary. is the best man for the job

    This is appalling. is one of the most distinguished diplomats of his generation. The US-China relationship is vitally important and our national security is put at risk by not having an ambassador in Beijing. He was appointed U/S of State by George W. Bush.
