Voters rightly often wary of pledges in elections but with and G&I Group we say what we mean & will stick to it. This area is under unprecedented development pressure & swathes of countryside could be lost to over-development. We will work to save countryside & habitats.

Jonathan actively supports a number of local community & environmental projects and has stood as a Green Party candidate previously. He's a strong supporter of maintaining key local services in rural areas, such as bus services and libraries, against pressure from spending cuts.

Jonathan notes that the area has come under great pressure from developers and he supports the position that whilst there is a clear need for local housing, it must be planned with local communities, not imposed & needs to include genuinely affordable homes.

This is an old recycling leaflet from that I found in the back of the kitchen drawer (not sure of the date). Beverage cartons went into the clear recycling sacks back then. Why not now?

Yes, this is exactly what needs to be done. I call on to do the same. When bagged recycling collections were first introduced to , many years ago, could go in the recycling bags. At some point that was dropped. It needs to be reinstated.

Nick puts the local environment first, campaigning against unsustainable major development, such as New Towns and major quarries, and for measures such as recycling, sustainable transport and protecting the countryside - acting responsibly in the face of the Climate Crisis
