This is impossible. EnvironmentalISM *means* taking power away from people/consumers. The net zero goal has not been tested democratically. It requires putting public institutions beyond democratic control. There is no concept of 'consumers interests' in that configuration.

Right. Cos male MPs wear vests and off-the-shoulder dresses in the HoC all the time. YAWN, followed by FO.

Clear as day that Boris is signed up to the Green agenda, first to keep in with his Green paramour, and secondly to compensate & make amends to the Remainer metropolitan‘liberal’-‘progressive’ wing of the Tories for having taken Britain out of the EU.

Just disgusted and hugely frustrated that no leaders in UK are standing up to this green tsunami. Not Trump's greatest fan, but he seems the only one willing to call it out for what it is. Tories a big let down & will lose any goodwill from those who recently lent them their vote

A taste of things to come if outrageous and absurd plans to remove gas boilers go ahead. And it will be those in council houses hit first and hardest

Indeed they do, but a little more reason ought to be expected from the Conservatives than from those others. The Tories have either been the govt or led it since 2010. They own the shambles to come.

Not we were ever told how many of those officials were seconded from Greenpiece, WWF, FoE etc. to DECC as was, and were then TUPED to BEIS ? 3 ducked FoIs that I know of.

"NET ZERO" is the number of 'Fs' that officials are obliged to give about the plight of the poor/hungry/cold/etc, who could be wealthy/fed/warm and happy. It creates statutory intransigence where there has been statutory responsibility. Climate change is the biggest fig leaf.

So your children/grandchildren are shivering in the cold? That's what local governments declaring a "climate emergency" looks like. That's what Net Zero looks like. That's what environmentalism wanted.

Boris. Tories. Please, observe... Greens are not your friends. They don't want you to do what they want you to do, and nobody else will thank you for doing what greens say you're not doing enough of. So, please, make us all happy and cut the green crap. Thanks.

Because if you admit good into the understanding, you can no longer claim, for instance, that energy companies are evil. You have to admit that ambulances, hospitals, schools, jobs, and all things that make life worth living require power.

There is no concept of good in the green outlook. None. Everything is just a different degree of bad. A smaller "footprint" is better than a bigger, but it's still not *good*. This is how the green movement makes demons.

Makes perfect sense. Remember the draft Paris treaty had an International Climate Justice Tribunal? It'll be back. But only if/when the U.S. is back, first.

The green view does not let us see good in the world. It casts everything in terms of bad. Yet we *know* for sure, absolutely, 100%, certain, no doubt, that access to energy and wealth are good things. This is why I argue that environmentalism is degenerate.

Compare that with other conception of guilt. Can an ambulance be, in and of itself sinful? Can a hospital be an immoral thing? Can medicine itself be wrong? I use the obvious examples of things that common sense judges to be good. Yes on the green view, they can all be bad.

Moreover, it turns out that the better your access to wealth and energy, the less vulnerable you are to weather and climate, changing or not. Yet the climate professor insists that guilt can be measured.
