This is a troubling time in America.
Leaders who stick their neck out, face the fire, and then continue to defeat the enemy... are not being taken down by the enemy.
No.
They're being taken down by the so-called "good actors" who are bowing down to the woke, corrupt mob.
But mark my words: the action the PV board just took to put James on leave is what will flame every opponent (within his org and outside of his org) to now TRIPLE DOWN and call for his ouster
The Board thought that this would make things quieter. It won't.
They're pouring gas
If the board would have stood up and said HELL NO... the entire thing would be put to bed
If the board had courage and told the staff... sit down and focus on the mission... rather than host "complaining sessions" about the guy who built PV... this would be put to bed
Putting James on paid leave is the first step.
The "leave" is now the first round of stories.
This will build.
Money driven staff will now make public statements.
Even mission driven staff will be pressured to make statements (and they will)
I don't know the PV board members.
I don't know why they put James on leave.
But I know this: I fully expect them to hit the EASY BUTTON
To fire James so that the pressure campaign dies down.
That's what weak men do. They capitulate. They refuse to fight. They bow down.
Imagine being a Board Member who has never done national media.
Never had his name on the line.
Never had his political opponents dunking on him every day...
And THEN having to decide how to react when your Twitter DMs explode from blue hairs who want to destroy your org
Being on the Board of a principled org is not for weak men
Especially if the organization is targeting and defeating and exposing bad actors
You need strong men.
Men with conviction.
Men who understand how pressure / smear campaigns work and who can navigate them rationally
Many times the board members are random folks with mid-level management experience who are now thrust onto the national scene because the "little organization they volunteer for once a year" has now become a FORCE in the political arena
This is a recipe for disaster
Now, let's talk about a Board of Directors
So many think of a BOD and imagine corporate America... and this idea of a 30 person board that has 100% aligned individuals
This may be the case with large, for-profit companies.
But this is not the case with non-profit orgs
MONEY DRIVEN staff:
- individuals who join your team because they see the skyrocketing rise in success
- they have part of the mission statement in mind, but only if it advances their career
- looking for any opportunity to oust any leader above them, if it means they advance
MISSON DRIVEN staff:
- 100% bought into the mission statement of the org
- would go to battle against the enemy to defend the principles you're fighting for
- arrive early, work late, working to build a legacy alongside the org
Orgs that create a pure mission, successfully execute, and then STICK to their mission are extremely rare
In the process of building this, James has had to continuously bring on new staff. The staff fall into two categories:
1. Mission driven
2. Money driven (access to power)
Well first, you have to realize that James built an organization that is *different*
Different how?
It didn't cave to the DC corrupt actors
It didn't take a buyout from the lobbyists
No, he stayed principled and continued to expose the bad folks...
This makes him a THREAT
attempt to remove James O'Keefe
I've seen this act before
A principled, work-around-the-clock activist takes an org from 0 to 100
His budget goes from peanuts to 10s of millions of dollars
His staff multiplies exponentially
What could go wrong?
CONGRESS SPENDING LESSON
Three facts:
1. Congress sets the budget
2. Congress agrees to spend TRILLIONS more than they take in (debt)
3. Debt is HORRIFIC (some, not so bright politicians, do not understand this)
What’s your congressman doing to fix the $31 TRILLION tragedy?
I was just 12 y/o, but I remember 9/11/01 like it happened yesterday.
I was a neocon back then & in the decade after.
I was wrong. Trump showed me the light.
No more wars, no more conquest. The only war that matters is the one taking place at home for America’s soul.
Terrible example for our kids?
Bro, you spend my grandkid's money every single day of the week and don't think twice about it
Drunken hecklers at a basement comedy show?
WAKE UP... WE ARE BROKE!
If it felt uncomfortable to watch on TV as a bunch of Members of Congress act like blind drunk hecklers at a basement comedy show, it felt 10x creepier in the chamber.
What a disgrace. What a terrible example for our kids.
It’s nice to see both parties are finally taking the debt seriously. The debt will break this nation on the wheel.
Also, both parties recoil in horror at the mention of doing ANYTHING to address the Social Security and Medicare shortfall which are the main drivers of the debt.
Insane what we’ve become as a nation
300+ million people
THIS is the best we got?
I don’t care what political party you belong to…
We need to do better. Much better.
