when your work exposes you to thousands or even millions of other people’s opinions of you, good and bad, there’s nothing that’ll stabilize you more than having people who you really care about and who care about you. in person.

here’s something I haven’t seen many people talk about: one of the most important things to have if you want to be a creator is really, really good friends.

I’ve been thinking about making longer video cuts like this! “behind the scenes at ___” or “come with me to ____” for my field shoots. there’s so much that doesn’t make it into the explainer videos…

I know she’s not hiring (at least people from my industry anyways) but I would pay just to travel and see live what she manage to find and show us in her videos twitter.com/cleoabram/stat…

Another epic video from from the world of motorsports and this time she’s dug into I agree with her. This series is very cool - the tech is amazing and so is the strategy from a driver/team perspective. The more you dig into it, the more it’s fascinating

what I've always loved about F1 is that it's not just a car race, it's a space program for cars. a group science project. what I now love about Formula E is that they created that space program for fully electric cars by crafting a brand new sport around it.

I interviewed Formula E founder Alejandro Agag, who explained the wild story of Formula E's creation (at a dinner in Paris 11 yrs ago), and how they came up with the sport's new rules (inspired by Mario Kart!)

in my opinion, figuring out this one question - how to hire - is one of the biggest challenges and greatest opportunities for any creator. (and I say this as someone just getting started!)

this great thread is about VCs, but it's something I (and I imagine a lot of other creators) think about a lot in building a team. who do you hire? when? what do you *need* to keep doing? what makes you happy as a creative person that you just *want* to keep doing?

8. In other words: The writing itself is what produces that actual ROI & never the outsourcing

does anyone know where I could try a motion capture suit? ideally in NYC but happy to travel. the company/group with the suit would be featured in a very fun Huge If True episode :)

it would be such a fun challenge to visualize allomancy! I can’t stop thinking about it (steel/iron blue lines, atium would be trippy, zinc/brass just good emotive acting… but how do you visualize running low?…)

this is a very niche ask but: has anyone seen fun/beautiful ceramics made by creators on tiktok/instagram/etc? I'm looking for some to buy, and would like to support them!
