Disappointed that @hknightsf chose not to include facts disproving her desired narrative about our work. So much misleading info in this piece it’s impossible to respond in 280 characters.https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/heatherknight/article/Is-public-safety-a-priority-for-DA-Chesa-Boudin-15654795.php …

Then what’s to stop repeat offenders? Crime(violent and theft) is skyrocketing in SF because of this policy. It’s insane, and it needs to go, and so does
@chesaboudin -
Let's get straight about something. It is not actually Boudin's job to prevent crime. It's his job to prosecute them once they occur. If you want crime prevention, then go to your policy makers. Being tough on crime does not stop repeat violent offenders.https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/do-prisons-make-us-safer/ …

I honestly don’t understand what is being proposed or offered here. How does raising better citizens conflate with criminal justice? Why not accept that society has failed to prepare the next generation and address the root-cause? For emphasis: why conflate?

If society has a problem with a few people its the peoples problem, when society takes issue with entire generation, and mercilessly brutally murders us with a militarized police state, until doing so is a leading cause of our death, that's genocide and societies fault not mine.pic.twitter.com/SqpWmcAnVc
