Unfortunately 99.9% isn't nearly accurate enough. If the car slammed the breaks on improperly 1/1000 times it would cause more harm than help.

Tesla is collecting data and training the NN on how many time after showing the warning, the driver slows or stops the car. Then in future they will stop automatically.

I wonder how far away we are from a Tesla disallowing a human to drive through a red light even when not in autonomous mode. (just as it will try to prevent you from rear-ending someone)
