Ya know.. Chesa gets this criticism a lot. What people don’t realize is the feds (US attorneys) have been conducting a years-long clean up of TL dealers. Hundreds have been prosecuted w/ severe mand. minimums. It hasn’t made a difference. Bc incarceration doesn’t solve anything

That “tough on crime” message that’s been repeated by politicians over and over again since the 80’s has done nothing to reduce crime but everything to desecrate an entire generation of poor black and brown communities. It’s time to do things different. Deterrence doesn’t work.
