a lot of people who would have LOVED to not go to work every day at a public-facing customer service job last year but were financially unable to make that choice would probably appreciate being paid to stay home while their employer is paid to close its doors! just a suggestion

pay everyone to stay home, close every nonessential business and cover their rent or mortgage for the month, and send volunteers door-to-door with vaccines in their own communities then keep those Harris/Markey retroactive checks coming this is the Claire Willett recovery plan

This! This! They should just *do* this. It would take planning & organizing but it would be soooo worth it! It drives me nuts that we have the resources to try to end the pandemic & help people - people around the world - and yet we don’t.
