Yesterday I had the loveliest afternoon with other east and southeast asian people at an event. I found new friends while doing a qigong session in a museum garden, discussion circles, and a sound bath. It is so great to have that space to share experiences! 💖

Emily is one of my favourite ever people I've worked with! She's a fantastic addition to a team - a great developer but also just a wonderful person. You'd be seriously lucky to work with her 🌟

I brought lots of craft supplies and nail polish to our team meetups and got some really lovely opportunities to connect with my colleagues. Nothing like a crafting activity to get people chatting 💖🌸💅
Three tie dyed items lie out in the sun. The two on the left are pillowcases with shades of blue and black, and the third is a white tshirt with spots of blue and pink.
An embroidery hoop holding a purple cross stitched alpaca inside it.
Two hands, one on top of the other. The nails are painted lilac with white daisies dotted over them.
Three cyanotypes lie on a table. Clockwise from the top is
1. a silhouette of a hand with amorphous blobs around it
2. a blurry silhouette of a bunch of foliage
3. a sort of starscape formed by silhouettes of little daisy flower heads

two packages from different retailers have been delivered while I was out over the past week and both went missing. after messaging the building group chat, I came back today to a single sealed package outside my door and all the missing items were inside??

The term “pregnant people” includes pregnant women & also people who are pregnant but are not women. It doesn’t in any way erase/deny women; it’s just more inclusive. I am a woman. I have friends who are not women but can get pregnant. Language that includes them doesn’t hurt me.

started thinking about packing for EMF and now I'm taking in jeans that I should have altered weeks ago - somewhat necessary but I know I'll be last-minute packing tomorrow 😩

I feel very unoriginal because I'm in Amsterdam for the first time in years and, just like every other tourist who visits, I'm wondering if I should move here

did a cute cookie baking class with my colleagues today 🍪 I went a little off-piste with my flavour combos but they are truly delicious clockwise from the top, we have: 1. milo and dark chocolate 2. pandan and white chocolate 3. strawberry and white chocolate
Three cookies on a blue floral plate. The top one is a deep brown from milo with dark chocolate pieces. The second is a light green from pandan flavouring with white chocolate chips. The third is slightly pink from freeze dried strawberry powder with white chocolate chips.

there's a chinese bakery in east london that does great food but even better are their honest food descriptions
A deliveroo item for Char Siu (BBQ Pork) bun. The description reads "This bun is filled with Chinese BBQ pork. It is as big as a child's head but it's so moorish people buy two. I think it's overrated and prefer the curry chicken bun. But you do what you want to do."
A Deliveroo item listing for Custard Bun. The description reads "This bun is filled with non-runny custard. Ong Ong Nom is the superior bun, but a good alternative if you don't like coconut."

Engineering leaders, what does your support look like? Who do you reach out to (and for what topics) when things get tough? For example: • Your manager or group at work • A professional coach • Peers in your industry • Mental health professionals • Family and friends
