  2. Agree. Quit waiting for Mueller like a nation of Vladimirs and Estragons. He is one guy with a legal team, not a magical savior. You're owed better than this. You don't deserve to be ruled by a crime syndicate masquerading as a government!

  3. This is a good discussion of AOC's call for a top tax rate of 70-80%. Tl; dr: she's actually saying what top public finance economists have been saying for some time. Not at all outlandish. 1/

This a common version of misogyny and sexism which doesn’t wish to hold men accountable for being abusers but instead wishes away girls as the difficult ones to raise. It’s not as introspective or empathetic as many believe it is.

Jeffress has called Catholicism “cult-like”; Islam “evil”; claimed Obama was paving the way for the Antichrist & said gay people are “filthy.”

  8. One of my favorite parts of writing Rage Becomes Her was researching cursing and cultural responses to women who do (overwhelmingly negative, regardless of political stripes...) Cursing freely is a necessity for women 🙌🏽

Here’s what it literally looked like in 1962 (adjusted to 2013 dollars). Most people alive today have no idea that this country once had an actually progressive income tax system.

  16. R. Kelly weaponized his success as a musician to abuse Black women. Stop telling us to separate the man from the music because he used it as a weapon to lure and violate his victims.

As someone born with a visual impairment, who spent years falling over & injuring myself because I didn't have access to the support I needed, all these videos of people wearing blindfolds & falling over & finding it all hilarious is deeply insulting.

Growing up, there was a photo of a young woman hanging in our foyer taken around 1900. She's a relative (I forget how she's related) who died of a botched abortion. My grandma was named after her. I always admired that that bit of family history was never covered up.

Being 6 months pregnant at a campus interview, having faculty ask what your husband does for a living. If he'll be able to find work near the university. Then telling your advisor you seemed tired on day 2 of a 2 day interview (while growing a human). Oh, and not getting the job
