This reminds me of all the GOP Presidential candidates who didn't believe in evolution in 2007 and then added climate change in 2016. Half of this country is regressing - not sure if it's to the fascism of the 1930s or to the feudalism of 1230s.

Judicial nominees always do this. To flip the phrase: THIS IS NORMAL. (The argument goes something like) If they were to hear a case on this subject in the future they would be required to recuse themselves.
