Highlights: Security defined from the point of view of poll workers goes beyond “chain of custody.”

Security in elections is the processes, procedures, tools, & people in place to ensure that elections run freely, fairly, & efficiently.

There were 4 broad classes of attitudes among the poll workers we met, from a shallower to deeper sense of ownership of the polling place.

Attitudes came from: pers history, election culture, how long voting equip had been in use...

… who mgd team, local policies, leadership, & changes in laws.

Goldilocks problem: balancing training & paperwork for poll workers. 200 to 400-pg manuals are common, & dozens of forms.

400 page manuals? Which state? I need a copy!!!
