      v excited by success of OVR this year, seems hugely helpful for young voters. also curious about demos of users.

      I know some states are now trying to improve their systems with usability tests w/voters. VA also developed a 3rd-party OVR API

      May be worth checking with @civicdesign on their work with jurisdictions on existing forms as well. They may know more.

      Imagine voter reg drives where new voters go straight to official OVR, instead of reg form handled by others.

      we've tested VR drives w/ ipads - lower complete rates and turnout of registrants. paper/pen = more accessible tech

      Hmm…wonder if some form completion could be improved with OCR-ing state id (understanding mileage may vary)

      Yes. the ID is the last mile, if no direct connection by entering just the number.

          True. And state law has to match the desired means of collecting information. There are some obstacles there.
