It seems govt orgs think #UX is only important for e-commerce, but do so to the detriment of the public they serve.
In 2020, there’s no excuse for UX issues in voting instructions & ballot design as @danachis addressed this years ago.

At CCD, we work with best states to improve best practices. And we work with other states to bring them up towards that standard. This year, we have seen big steps forward, including a dozen or more states that redesigned envelopes and other forms/info.

There is still a lot of work to be done. It helps to remember that a sprint for an elections office is a year, not a month. Cheer on the progress. Point out the room for improvement constructively.
