Effective transmission of LRAD is 300m. #HKPF claimed that it would only be employed for transmission of messages or assisting in evacuation in disasters, anti-terrorist action or serious security incident but not in public assembly and demonstration.

教えてください。 " (LRAD) was employed for ard 3 secs for the 1st time" は、 「LRADが初めてardの3地区に配備された」 という訳で正しいですか? ardはなんの略ですか?

I did a bit of research on these devices a while back and they are incredibly scary. The tests they did on mice was pretty horrific, causing internal organ failure, brain damage, etc. Obviously this would need to be a lot more for a human but still some pretty terrifying stuff. https://twitter.com/KsteveT/status/1195962615622590464 …
