Since this came up today again and I felt really bad about it, I'm going to put this out there: I don't do talks anymore. At all. It doesn't matter how awesome it is or how crazy it would be for me to turn it down. Nope. Podcasts/interviews? That's fine! /1

It may be paradoxal, but this deserve more attention than many of the points of view that we get in tech conferences, meetups talks or whatever. There's too much to do in life and work, being famous may not be a part of it

Thanks. We have to ask ourselves what we're optimizing for, and what the externalities of those decisions are. With respect to our own lives and the rest of the world. We keep talking about what we do and doing what we do as if those considerations don't exist.
